You can determine the age by locating the serial number on the data plate. Every Amana air conditioner has a data plate displaying the unit’s information. On the data plate, you will see other information, such as:
- Coleman model numbers
- Coleman serial number identification
- Coleman HVAC Tonnage, Capacity
- Volts – AC, Upper, and Lower Watts
- Manufacturer Location
There are four different styles of Coleman serial number lookup age. They look like this:
- Style 1: A0B1234567
- Style 2: ABCD012345
- Style 3: 123456789
- Style 4: 0123456789
Let’s break down how to read each style of the serial number to determine the Coleman air conditioner age that you may be looking at:
- Style 1: A0B1234567
The year of manufacture is the 1st and 2nd numerical digits following the 1st and 2nd letters.
- Style 2: ABCD012345
The year of the manufacturer is the third letter digit. (check the chart below)
