What is included

A focused panel.
Documented results.

FHA/VA Water Testing is available as a standalone service or an add-on to an eligible GGR inspection. The service includes sample collection, the following laboratory analyses, and a digital laboratory report.

01 / Bacteria

Total coliform and E. coli

Laboratory analysis checks the collected water sample for these bacteria.

02 / Metal

Lead

The sample is analyzed for lead, with the result documented in the laboratory report.

03 / Inorganic analytes

Nitrate and nitrite

The laboratory reports results for nitrate and nitrite as part of the selected panel.

04 / Documentation

Collection and digital report

GGR coordinates the collection and laboratory submission. You receive the laboratory findings in a digital report.

Planning for your closing

Confirm the panel before the appointment.

If your lender has requested a water test for an FHA or VA transaction, send us the written testing requirements and your closing deadline when scheduling.

Required tests, sampling conditions, report timing, and acceptance can vary with the transaction. We will review the requested scope with you before collection. Additional parameters or repeat sampling are outside the listed panel unless arranged separately.

The laboratory report documents the tested sample. It does not guarantee loan approval, evaluate every possible contaminant, or replace an inspection of the well, pump, plumbing, or treatment equipment.

How it works

From scheduling to results.

Step 1

Tell us what you need

Share the property address, water source, lender instructions, and any deadline. Mention existing treatment equipment or recent treatment work.

Step 2

Prepare for collection

We coordinate access to a suitable sampling location and provide preparation instructions for the selected tests. Follow those instructions before the appointment.

Step 3

We collect and submit

GGR collects the samples and coordinates submission to the laboratory for the selected panel.

Step 4

Review your digital report

Once analysis is complete, review the report with your lender or the appropriate water professional. Ask us about expected turnaround when booking; laboratory testing is not a same-day inspection report.

Frequently asked questions

Before you book.

Is water testing included in a standard home inspection?

No. Laboratory water testing is a separate service. You can schedule it on its own or add it to an eligible inspection.

Does this panel meet every FHA or VA lender’s requirements?

Confirm your lender’s written requirements before collection. Our current panel covers total coliform, E. coli, lead, nitrate, and nitrite. Your lender may request different or additional testing, specific collection conditions, or a report within a particular time frame.

How much does water testing cost?

Contact GGR or review the available service in our online scheduler for current pricing. Tell us about any additional testing requirements before booking so the scope and fee can be confirmed.

When will I receive the results?

Results depend on sample submission and laboratory processing. Ask for the expected turnaround when scheduling and share your closing deadline. We do not promise same-day laboratory results.

Does the test inspect my well or water treatment system?

No. This service analyzes the collected water sample for the listed panel. Mechanical evaluation of a well, pump, or treatment system is a separate scope.

What if a result needs follow-up?

Discuss the laboratory findings with your lender and an appropriate qualified water professional. Any additional testing, treatment, or repeat sampling should be coordinated for your specific situation.

Where do you offer water testing?

We serve Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie counties, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Port St. Lucie, and nearby communities. Confirm availability for your address when scheduling.
